Cluedo Junior Board Game from Hasbro Gaming

Cluedo Junior Carnival Board Game from Hasbro Gaming

My children love board games at the moment and we are building up quite a collection. The latest game added to our stash is the wonderful Cluedo Junior Board Game from Hasbro Gaming.

I remember the adult version of Cluedo so it took me a few attempts to read the rules before I understood this version. Basically you need to solve the mystery of the missing cake to win the game of Cluedo Junior!

Who took a piece of the cake before dinner? Can you figure out who took it, when they took it, and what they drank with it? It’s a delicious mystery and it’s up to you to solve it! Look for clues in the white and yellow bases as you take your turns, and write down the clues you discover on your detective sheet. Was it Colonel Mustard at 2:00 with a glass of milk?

This is a fun version of the game and simple enough for us all to follow the rules and enjoy a game. My 6 year old is developing a wonderful poker face when he plays a game like this and he’s really fun to play with. My 5 year old sulks when she doesn’t understand but we can usually jolly her along (and help her cheat) so she feels like she is taking part.

The Cluedo Junior game is mystery fun for kids. The white and yellow bases have clues under them and the Detective sheets help you keep track of the clues as you find them. The only slight difficulty we had was trying to identify each character, but I’m sure this will get easier the more times we play.

I see years of fun playing board games with my two and this is a great addition to our collection of board games.

Cluedo Junior Board Game is priced around £19 and available from Amazon, Argos, Smyths and all good toy shops.

I never win either, but only because I have to let my children win!
