Mollie Makes Christmas {festive bedside reading}

Mollie Makes Christmas

I have been so slack with my crafting lately. Real life is pretty busy so my blogging and crafting time is squeezed more than ever. This makes me sad as I have some sweet little crafty projects I want to make for Christmas but no time to make them.

I haven’t even made the last few Mollie Makes cover gifts. I am a non-crafting crafty blogger.

Anyway, on my bedside table is Mollie Makes Christmas. I’ve treated myself to this for the last few years and really enjoy reading it cover to cover. The 2016 edition features 110 gorgeous gift and decor ideas, as well as 4 exclusive cards and 24 gift tags.

The bookazine is divided into sections: Christmas Home, Makes for Her, Makes For Him, Makes for Kids, and Stocking Fillers. I have read it a couple of times now. As in previous years, there are several projects which have been featured in previous editions of Mollie Makes, but I found there was still plenty to inspire and enjoy.

Being realistic I am probably not going to make many of the projects, although I am hoping to have time for the felt mistletoe, which would look great in our house.

I’ve been snapping some of my favourites and managed to pick something for everyone. I love the knitted fox slippers for my mum, the washbag tutorial for my husband, the portable doll’s house for my daughter, and of course the gingerbread playhouse for my son. There’s also a recipe for homemade body scrub which I would love to make for my sister.

Mollie Makes Christmas costs £9.99 which I thought was pretty good value for all the projects inside. I’ve kept my previous Christmas issues as I love to look through them for inspiration at this time of year. Do you like this kind of Christmas magazine? Let me know if you have a festive favourite.
