Easy washi tape baubles {kid-made Christmas cards}

I have the biggest stash of washi tape. A few years ago I was obsessively collecting it and using it for all sorts of crafts but I haven’t used it for a while. I thought it was about time we tried to use it up and came up with some fun washi tape baubles which are perfect for adding to Christmas cards for the perfect kid-made Christmas cards.

Equipment used to make washi tape baubles

Washi tapes
Piece of A4 card
Something round to draw around, like a roll of Duck Tape
Scissors
Bakers twine

How to make washi tape baubles

The kids tipped out my washi tape on to the table and chose the tapes they liked the most.

Then they placed the roll of tape (you can use any circular object) and drew around it three times on a piece of card.

Using the circles as a guide they covered each one in a selection of washi tape.

The wonderful thing about washi tape is that you can easily tear it without scissors so it’s perfect for children.

When each circle was covered up my 6 year old was able to cut around each circle, which you could just about see through the washi tape. He finished them off by punching a hole in them and threading them with bakers twine.

We sellotaped them to the front of blank cards as they look so pretty. The lovely thing about our washi tape baubles is that they can be removed from the card and hung on the tree or in the window.
