Monday Happy List – Week 102

vintage Sindy furniture

Last week was our last full week of the summer holidays. We seemed to pack a lot in to our week, making happy memories and enjoying some weather (not sure where that has gone now though!). I’m enjoying one last day with my son before he starts school tomorrow so I’m keeping my weekly Monday Happy List brief.

Whilst we were away we finally managed to sit down and watch The BFG film. I had been looking forward to seeing this film all summer and it was amazing. Some parts of the story had been added, which my 6 year old kept pointing out during the film, but I thought it was beautiful.

I had fun charity shopping whilst we were away and picked up a very cook vintage Sindy Cooker Unit from Pedigree. I had one when I was a kid and my children have been playing with it. My favourite White Stuff in Exeter displays vintage toys as part of their shop furnishings and have a great collection of Sindy furniture on their walls.

Orla Kiely Tesco shopping bag

I managed to purchase the two new Orla Kiely shopping totes from Tesco. One has apples and one a pear design, both are fab and really useful for the weekly shop.

We were invited to attend a fun Fit To Dance event with Peter Andre last week. We were feeling pretty tired as we only got back from our holiday the evening before but the event was great. Post to follow this week.

Finally I managed to squeeze in a crafty evening. I love trying new crafts and when I heard Nikki McWilliams was making a rare appearance in London for her Print & Make workshop I knew I wanted a ticket. It was a lovely way to spend a few hours and, again, I will be writing a whole post about what I made.

Have a great week everyone!

I love your shopping totes so much! I keep meaning to get some for myself! We also really want to see the BFG, I think me and my children would all enjoy it. xx
