Children’s drawings are the funniest thing

My children’s drawings are the funniest thing. I’m a bit of a hoarder and keep a lot of their drawings because they really make me smile. My 6 year old recently did a hilarious drawing of The Queen which you can see here. His drawing style has developed a lot since he’s been in Year 1 and I love the pictures he brings home which often feature a mash up of Star Wars and whatever he has been learning in school that day.

My 4 year has only recently started drawing people.  We bought a very cool book for her to give on Father’s Day. The pages had drawing prompts so she could drawn special pictures of her and Daddy. I’m just glad the pages had captions so he knew what they were supposed to be!

a family portrait by my 4 year old

Both children seem to enjoy drawing people more than anything. My 4 year old’s family portrait for Father’s Day will be something I treasure for ever. I love how they see something in their own special way although I try to ask indirectly what their drawings are so I don’t offend them…

It seems that I’m not alone in finding children’s drawings funny. SunLife recently asked children to draw different celebrities in their own way and made a fun quiz with the results. Everyone can have a go at guessing which celebrity the children have attempted to draw in the Children’s Celebrity Drawings Quiz.

I got a measly 5 out or 9! and a recommendation to brushing up on my celebrity news. I’m off to buy a copy of Heat so do let me know if you try out the quiz for yourself.
