Father’s Day gift guide

I haven’t pulled together a gift guide since Christmas but they are quite fun posts to write. So, if you’re feeling a bit stuck with Father’s day looming next Sunday (19th June) then I hope you might find some inspiration here.

Father’s Day gift guide

We are a creative family so family celebrations always include a handmade element. This year the children made some lovely Father’s Day gifts, including decorated key rings from a Baker Ross craft kit and an air drying clay dish for loose change.

I’m sure they’ll both be making Father’s Day cards at school but we enjoyed making a Father’s Day rosette using my Sizzix Big Shot Plus.

We’ve already eaten the biscuits but that doesn’t stop us recommending the Classic Car Show Biscuit Collection from Biscuiteers.

My 4 year old has chosen a couple of books on a recent shopping trip. The Dinosaur That Pooped Daddy is really funny and I know she’ll love snuggling up and reading that with him. It’s shorter than the other The Dinosaur That Pooped books we own and I think aimed at a younger audience but she loves that blooming dinosaur and I can’t resist a book.

She also chose Daddy and Me, a Peppa Pig sticker and colouring book which includes stickers and a photo frame to decorate. She loves this kind of book and with plenty of pages to draw her own pictures it will make a lovely keepsake for both of them.

Our final little gift will be a tin of Sugru. We’ve used it before around the house and it’s really useful for fixing my computer cable which is always breaking and other little hacks around the house. The Sugru Starter Kit will introduce your dad to the DIY of the future (includes 5 packs of Sugru) and get him started on ten easy home hacking projects (includes a booklet chock full of how-to guides).

If that’s not enough inspiration then why not take a look at some of my previous Father’s Day posts:

I love The Dinosaur That Pooped books (mainly because I’m a massive McFly fangirl!) so I’ll definitely have to pick this one up <3
