BKD Mini Bakers Club review

BKD mini bakers box showing contents

My children enjoy receiving subscription boxes as much as I do. We’ve already tried some crafty ones but were excited to hear about BKD Mini Bakers Club, perfect for my little mini Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood.

The boxes are personalised which is a lovely touch and come filled with activities. We received the gingerbread biscuit kit which my daughter really enjoyed opening. Each baking box is personally addressed to your child and include a different flavour BKD artisan baking mix (100% Natural) along with a beautifully illustrated baking guide full of exciting baking themed craft projects. There are instructions on how to make and decorate the cupcakes, cakes or biscuits and extras such as colouring pencils, stickers, baking accessory and packaging for giving their baked items as a gift.

My 4 year old was keen to get started so we mixed up the dough, looked for our favourite cookie cutter and got baking.

The dough had a delicious smell and we soon had two trays full of biscuits. We popped them in the oven to bake. Our Mini Bakers subscription box contained biscuit pop sticks, so as soon as they were out of the oven I pushed one into each biscuit.

When they had cooled down my children decorated them with the icing pen and some sprinkles we found at home. They enjoyed making a biscuit bouquet and, of course, eating them. We wrapped up a few in the cellophane bags provided and decorated them with stickers to give to friends later.

There was also a fun craft activity which we haven’t quite finished in the activity booklet. There was certainly plenty to keep us busy and I can easily seeing us buying one of the Mini Bakers subscription boxes again.

The Mini Bakers subscription box is from BKD and you can find out more about them and their online shop here. They are currently running a half price subscription offer on the first month of any package:

1 month subscription – £4.99 (usually £9.99)
3 month subscription – £9.49 per month (first month is half price)
6 month subscription – £8.99 per month (first month is half price)
*all plus £1.99 postage*

This is honestly one of the best subscription boxes I’ve seen, I think it’s a perfect way to get kids involved with baking 🙂
