Mother’s Day craft ideas

As much as we’re enjoying the half term holiday I admit to raiding our craft stash. My children love to wind down by making something and, with Mother’s Day coming up on 6th March, they have been working their way through some of the great Mother’s Day craft kits we were sent from Baker Ross.

Heart Lantern Kits

They loved the Heart Lantern kits, which contained 4 assorted colours and designs. Each kit included a card lantern template and coloured tissue paper. they were easy to assemble using a glue stick or glue dots. The kit costs £3.49 for a pack of 4.

Flower Wooden Key Holders

I love receiving a practical gift and the Flower Wooden Key Holder is great value at £3.45 for a pack of 3. Each kit contains a wooden template, wooden pegs and hanging cord. You can decorate them however you like using Baker Ross acrylic paint, glitter and stick-ons.

Self-Portrait Blanks

Their favourite activity was the Self-Portrait blanks which cost £2.99 for a pack of 12. You can decorate them with Baker Ross fibre tip pens, Deco pens, wiggle-eyes or twirly hair.

So far they have decorated 2 each. I was hoping they would draw me as I think they make great cards for Mother’s Day. I couldn’t see any likeness and I definitely don’t have a green complexion! There were plenty more blanks in the pack so hopefully they will have another attempt before the day.

Aw, how lovely. My daughter isn’t quite two so a bit young for crafts yet – it’s basically just a big old mess! But I loved crafts when I was a kid – can’t wait until she has the attention span for them!
