Monday happy things – Week 72

For once I am happy it’s Monday because now we can countdown to half term. Although this term is going quickly I can’t wait for a week off from the school run and after school clubs. My children need a break from school too and the chance to relax and be themselves again.

So far February has been good to us. I started by stitching a new month in my gorgeous Year in Stitches calendar, surely the nicest way to mark the changing months.

My son was invested into Beavers last week. He’s been going along for a few weeks and really enjoying meeting new people and trying new things. So we took the plunge and paid for the uniform and subscription fee. We all went along to watch him being invested and receive his first badges.

I love trying subscription boxes and received two new ones this week, socks from Korea and Unicorn-themed stationery for my Planner.  Who can resist a pencil which states ‘I believe in Unicorns’? There is so much choice our there and it is fun discovering new ones.

There has been plenty of time for crafting with my children which is always something to be celebrated. I love the fact our dining room is our little craft hub. It is permanently covered in half-finished craft projects and is a great place to sit after school and at weekends and chat whilst being creative. We’ve been doing a lot of Star Wars crafts recently so pop on over to my other blog to see the results.

We made some progress with decorating our house and had our hall painted. We chose two colours of gorgeous Farrow & Ball paint and it looks amazing. Just the downstairs to fix now!
