birthday Christmas gingerbread gingerbread house upcycling

Monday happy things

I can’t believe it’s the last day of November already which means it’s time for my weekly Monday Happy Things post, 5 things which have made me happy this week.

My beautiful daughter turned 4 on Saturday. She received a great mix of presents including Sylvanian Families, Peppa Pig, Dora and Doc McStuffins. She was given some birthday money and she enjoyed spending it, choosing her own clothes and more toys, Tsum Tsum seem to be her new favourites. I’d love to say we made her cake, but we didn’t.

I received my second Happy Paper Club subscription box. I love receiving mail and this one always seem to contain useful and pretty items. See my full review of the November Happy Paper Club box here.

I was featured in the December issue of Mother & Baby magazine! I was contacted about a feature on making your own Christmas traditions. You can probably guess what one of ours is. Yes, we love to bake gingerbread together and every year make at least one gingerbread house and lots of gingerbread men. I love the photo they used from last years’ gingerbread house.

Christmas doesn’t start in our house until December 1st. Tiger Prints sent us some lovely festive t-shirts from their clothing range which the children have been wearing. They’ve been through the wash a few times thanks to my messy children, but I’m pleased to say they’ve washed beautifully and will be worn a lot over the coming days. They make a great alternative to a Christmas jumper!

Over the weekend we squeezed in some grown up crafting and made a fun upcycled festive sign with lights. I can’t wait to share the full tutorial with you soon.
