My favourite thing about the Summer holidays is spending lots of family time together. We’ve recently enjoyed a week together visiting family, exploring new places and enjoying some delicious meals.
Ask my children what they would like for dinner and I know they will shout “pizza” or “pasta”. So lucky for them that they were invited to our local ASK Italian to try out the new children’s menu. You may remember our previous review of ASK Italian in Northwood (wow, doesn’t Little Sis look tiny in those pics!) and I’m pleased to say that our meal was equally delicious.
As I mentioned above, the children’s menu has recently been re-launched. My children love the flavours of Italian food so they had no problem ordering from the new menu and whilst we waited for our food to arrive they were kept entertained by the activities and colouring-in on their menus.
The children started off with vegetable sticks with garlic bread soldiers and dip. This was brought to them almost as soon as we ordered which made them very happy.
They both ordered the Top Your Own Pizza with different toppings. There were plenty of dishes to choose from but they love pizza, especially when you can customise it with your favourite toppings.
Followed by the Chocolate Pizza and Frutti which they shared as they couldn’t decide what to order! I don’t think they left anything on their plates which is always the sign of a good meal. The children’s menu cost £6.75 for a starter, main course, dessert and Babyccino which I think represents excellent value.
For the summer holidays, ASK Italian has launched the new menu with a special summer edition – complete with pop-out finger puppet characters Luca and Lucia (and a puppet template for kids to draw themselves), and a nationwide colouring competition, where budding artists can show off their best colouring skills to be in with a chance of winning a £50 family meal voucher.
