Motivational felt banner

I hope you’re not bored of reading about my little banners yet? I can’t help making them as they are just so satisfying and fun!

Every couple of weeks I like to sign up for a craft swap to ensure I’m making things and being creative. The latest swap I took part in was the Handmade Gift Exchange from Craftaholics Anonymous. I’ve taken part a few times and made and received some lovely handmade gifts.

I exchanged a few emails with my partner and we decided to make each other banners. I knew I wanted to make a motivational felt banner and combined EPP and felt to make it.

First I made the front of the banner with a couple of different pink fabrics from elephant in my handbag as my partner said she loved the colour. I made a template of the banner from card and used it to cut out the shape. I left it slightly longer at the top so there was enough fabric to fold over the dowel and sew securely in place.

I added the words “THINK BIG” in lovely hot pink felt as everyone needs a little motivation with their crafty projects 🙂
