Miffy butter biscuits

miffy butter biscuit recipe - the gingerbread house

Today is World Baking Day and I couldn’t let it pass without making something special for my family. I had planned to make some tea bag biscuits for the family. I did make them but they didn’t look good enough to share with my family so I used the extra dough to make some Miffy biscuits. My children love biscuits, but biscuits in the shape of their favourite characters are incredibly popular and make them super happy.

Recipe for Miffy butter biscuits
500g plain flour
180g caster sugar
250g margarine
2 large eggs

How to make Miffy butter biscuits

This is a really simple but tasty biscuit recipe. I made the biscuit dough, wrapped it in clingfilm and left it in the fridge for an hour. Then I cut out lots and lots of Miffy, Boris Bear and flower shaped biscuits.

Miffy biscuitsThe house was soon filled with the delicious smell of baking and I cooked three batches of these biscuits at 170° for 14 minutes.

Miffy biscuitsI left them to cool completely before decorating them. I melted milk chocolate in a bain-marie and dipped Miffy’s ears in the chocolate before sprinkling hundreds and thousands over them.

Miffy biscuitsI left them to dry on a baking sheet before serving them up for the family to try. Needless to say they included everything my children love – Miffy, chocolate and rainbow sprinkles – so these went down really well. I think they look cute and I even enjoyed a couple myself 🙂
