Lego playing toy review

Hubelino marble run sets

Last year we told you about Hubelino marble run sets. The pieces are 100% compatible with Lego Duplo bricks which means you can create some really fun structures. This year we were sent two fun extension sets which means my children can have even more fun.

The first set was the Twister Extension Set which has 22 parts including 2 Twisters that spin the ball around and eventually drop in in their middle. As you can see my 5 year old immediately enlisted the help of his Daddy to try some of the layouts suggested in the accompanying booklet.

The second set was a Mini Construction Set with 45 parts including new, shorter Accelerators and mid-size tracks. This is the ultimate construction set to take with you on the road and is a great size if you want to add to your collection or want a spare set to leave at Grandparents.

Hubelino marble runAs you can see the children love to use their Hubelino bricks on our homemade Lego table although each set does come with a small-ish base board to build on. Although the sets are compatible with Lego we’ve never actually needed extra bricks but I’m sure the day will come when the children want to build a huge marble run.

learning with marble runs

My 3 and 5 year old love building marble runs and we really liked the extension sets, especially the twister pieces which keep the marbles rolling round and round. This is great for working those fine motor skills, problem solving, and introducing simple concepts such as gravity, energy and speed.

All Hubelino products are available in the official Hubelino Store on Amazon.co.uk
