Investing in a good day out with Miffy

Now we all know that a lot of things improve over time – think about your classic leather sofa or a really good cheese. This month the TSB Plus Account has just turned one year old. The maximum interest you can earn in a year from the Plus Account is £100 AER (5% AER on up to £2000), so what would you do with a spare £100?

As a full time mum it’s not often there’s any money left over for treats so I think I would probably treat the children. They both have Lego sets at the top of their wish lists – my 3 year old daughter wants the Lego Rapunzel’s Creativity Tower and my 5 year old son is desperate for the Lego City Arctic Icebreaker, especially as it can go in the water!

If I was to treat myself them it would be a day trip to Utrecht to see the home of Miffy! My first stop would be the dick bruna huis in the Centraal Museum. I would also love to visit the Miffy traffic lights in front of the Bi-jenkorf department store, see the Miffy sculpture on the Nijntje Pleintje and perhaps hunt down one of the statues from the miffy art parade. How does that sound for a fun day out?

The TSB bank account isn’t the only thing which improves over time. Take a look at this infographic  and see the top 10 things that improve over time. I definitely agree that wine improves, it’s just a shame that a bottle never lasts longer than a week in our house 🙂

I’d love to visit the Netherlands, especially Amsterdam.
