17 Kinder Egg craft ideas

We love looking through the recycling bin and crafting with the contents. We’ve quite a collection of Kinder Egg shells as my children have been trying to collect the Kinder Surprise Pink and Blue eggs with Marvel Avengers and Disney Fairies inside.

We’ve had fun with decorating them to make Kinder Egg Minions,  Kinder Egg Baymax and they are perfect for making Lego heads.

We still have lots of Kinder Egg shells left so turned to Pinterest for some inspiration. People have been really inventive with them and I’ve pulled together a list of 17 Kinder Egg craft ideas:

There are lots of Kinder Egg animals. We especially love the bees and honeycomb, the duck, floating Kinder egg fish and bee. These cute amigurumi animal covers for Kinder Egg shells are really clever. There is an owl, frog, chick, pig, dog, bee and some have hanging loops so you can use them as a keyring. I really wish I knew how to do amigurumi! I grew up with Snoopy so loved this crafty make using two Kinder Egg shells and some bottle tops.

With Easter coming up this chick and Easter chick wreath look really fun and unusual.

How about Kinder Egg people? As well as our Minions and Baymax I came across a gorgeous tooth fairy which is perfect for a visit from the tooth fairy and to store a little note and coin. I also love this sweet ballerina.

There are some fun Kinder Egg Christmas creations too, from a Christmas tree bauble, Kinder Egg nativity and even an amazing Kinder Egg advent tree- better start saving your shells now if you want to make that this year!

Now for something completely different! I’m in love with these Kinder Egg plant pots or how about starting off simply by decorating some shells and growing cress? I know my two would love to try that and, as I’m rubbish at growing plants or flowers, I think I’ll be looking for some cress seeds this week!
