days out Lego London

Monday happy things

Another Monday and today is definitely the last day of our Christmas holiday. My husband is already back at work and I am (mentally at least) prepared for the nursery/school run/station drop off first thing tomorrow morning.

We had a small splurge in the Lego shop and bought two new sets. We’ve already built and played with the new Lego Frozen set – Elsa’s Sparkling Ice Castle. The children love it and I enjoyed building it! We also treated ourselves to the new Lego Ideas Bird set which has just been released. I really can’t wait to build them but I think I will be fighting my husband to build the robin.

The Christmas decorations are down and my house feels normal again. As well as giving my house a thorough clean my blog got a bit of a make over too – hope you noticed 🙂

The beginning of the year feels quite busy and we’ve been planning a few weekends away and family time. 2015 is going to be all about having fun and creating special memories. We have a theatre trip, a vintage VW campervan and our favourite pink cottage to look forward to. I’ve also managed to book a couple of crafty courses so I will hopefully have a few new things to show you soon.

This weekend we went on a trip to Covent Garden and the London Transport Museum. We spent a whole day watching the street performers, shopping and the children loved running around the museum. We’ve been regular visitors to the museum since my son could walk, we always have a great time there.

I’m not sure if this was the happiest moment of the week but we also went to see the latest Tinkerbell film at the cinema – Tinkerbell and the Neverbeast. It was pretty terrible and we were the only ones at the screening. However, my children enjoyed it, and it afforded us an hours’ peace and quiet if nothing else.
