innocent Alphabet Champion challenge – letter i

I was asked if we wanted to take part in the innocent Alphabet Champion challenge. Innocent have recently re-launched their letter magnets which can be found in packs of smoothies. But this time they’re giving you the opportunity to collect enough letters to spell any name you like.

They asked me to take some pictures that represent the letter I to share online. If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram hopefully you’ve seen some of them. Then they said how great it would be if my pictures related to going back to school or fruit in some way. Let’s just repeat the fact they gave me the letter i. Eeek! At this point we wanted to give up but we put our thinking caps on and *ahem* turned to Google.

There are very few fruits beginning with the letter i, definitely none that you will find in Waitrose. Apparently there’s an Illawarra plum which can be found in Australia, specifically sub-tropical eastern New South Wales and Queensland. There are lots of fruits with the prefix Indian, such as the Indian almond, Indian fig, Indian jujube, Indian prune and Indian strawberry. Again, you’re not really going to find them on your local high street!

Giving up with fruit we thought about the theme of going back to school, but that was equally hopeless. So instead we just baked some i-shaped biscuits. We love baking so this was no hardship. Not only did we made i-shaped biscuits, we iced them too, then ate them all.

icingWe’ve also been imbibing smoothies as they taste so good! See what I did there?

Anyway. This year, innocent are running an on pack promotion so that everyone can receive their own name in magnets. This is fab as we all know that kids often don’t have enough magnets to spell their full names, but now they can. All the details are on the packs, but it’s super easy. Once you’ve collected 6 (or more) barcodes you just need to send it over to the guys at innocent Towers, and they’ll send you out three names. What’s more, on the innocent website you can also take part in a really fun ‘design your own innocent alphabet’ competition. Click here to find out more: http://www.innocentdrinks.co.uk/alphabet.
