Meadow Kids

Every afternoon Big Brother attends nursery at the local Primary School. Little Sis and I love our time together and we can usually be found watching Frozen doing puzzles together, painting or playdough. She loves to be busy which is why we were excited to be sent some products from Meadow Kids who are an international toy brand from the UK. All of their creations are designed to enhance family interaction and stimulate cognitive development.

We were sent a copy of The Hungry Duck puppet book and Train & Truck Pop and Play bath toy to review.

The Hungry Duck puppet book by Karen Hayes & Samantha Meredith

Dylan the Duck is hungry one morning. He tries to snap up creatures for his breakfast but they are too quick for him!

This is a sweet story book with an integral puppet. You simply put your hand into Dylan’s big yellow beak and play along with the story. Little Sis played the part of Dylan while I read the story to her. She found the idea of the hand puppet hilarious and soon Dylan was performing his own show thanks to Little Sis! The story is quite fun and it was great watching her interact with it.

Bath Time Train & Truck Pop and Play bath toy

The Bath Time Train & Truck Pop and Play bath toy contains six foam sheets which float when wet. You can push out the six different train and truck pictures as a simple puzzle. The pieces float but also stick to the sides of the bath.

These are fun but a little simple for my children. The packaging states the toys are for ages 3+ which I presume means 3 months and over. My 2.5 year old enjoyed them but they were a little simple for her as she often does puzzles with 35 pieces or more.

She was able to identify the 6 vehicles, push the pieces out, shuffle them around and then place them back together. As you can see she was happy to play with them on the floor but I know we’ll be using them in the tuff spot and at bath time too.
