Christmas

Something special for someone special

I have to be honest and say that my children were totally spoilt over Christmas. What with extra large stockings, presents from Father Christmas and family our house is now resembling a toy shop. I’m sure I’m not the only parent who was guilty of spending too much but it was totally worth it to see how happy my children were opening their presents and playing with their new toys.

Something special for someone special

Just before Christmas I was contacted about an initiative which aimed to give people a little bit extra this Christmas. I was given a voucher which allowed me to purchase an extra special gift for someone close to me.

I like to think I’m pretty generous at Christmas  and had already finished my Christmas shopping (on behalf of Father Christmas obviously). I decided to use the voucher to buy my children an extra gift. My little man is the biggest fan of Disney Cars and received a Cars2 Racetrack Carry Case which stores 40 of his die cast cars and means he can transport them when we go away. It wasn’t on his Christmas list but he was ecstatic to open it. Little Sis got a Peppa Pig pram which was a huge hit with her. It replaced an old push chair style one she had and is the perfect size and weight for her. As soon as she opened it (and I put it together, an unexpected downside to so many toys!) she got out her favourite doll and pushed it around for hours.

I don’t have any photos to show as we were all too busy enjoying the day to worry about taking many. However, I must share this one from our Christmas Day trip to our local beauty spot.

A big thanks to Halifax for letting me spoil my favourite two little people.
