Jumbo Italian Spiced Chickpea Burgers

I love a challenge so was pretty excited to be asked to try out TOTAL Greek Yoghurt. Apparently the recipe hasn’t changed a smidge since 1926 when it was first made in Athens. TOTAL Greek Yoghurt can be used in lots of recipes – whether it’s used as a replacement for cream in a fresh, strawberry gateaux or transformed in to a zingy slaw to accompany juicy pork chops or burgers!

I was sent a tub of TOTAL Greek Yoghurt and the ingredients to make Jumbo Italian Spiced Chickpea Burgers. Now a meal without meat is a bit of an anathema to my husband so I wondered what he would say when I presented him with these. They were so simple to make, only taking about 20 minutes,  and I served them with sweet potato chips and salad. He was pretty impressed, and whilst neither of us will be turning vegetarian, it was good to try something different and so delicious.

TOTAL Greek Yoghurt is versatile, it’s completely natural (so with no additives or added nasties, it’s great for all the family) – and definitely adds a new dimension to your everyday cooking. I also added it to a tea loaf I made yesterday (substituting the creme fraiche with the TOTAL Greek Yoghurt) and it was lovely, I’ll definitely be using it to cook and bake with again.

If you need some inspiration check out the TOTAL Greek Yoghurt Twitter page as they are showcasing 3 meals a day as part of their 7-Day #TryTotal Challenge from the 30th September on Facebook.  You can also submit your best food photos on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or Pinterest using #TryTotal, where you could win a year’s supply of Greek yoghurt, plus other monthly food goodies!
