Cath Kidston handmade sewing

Pretty purchases

I had a very small splurge in Cath Kidston whilst we were in Marlborough the other week. The shop is in a beautiful historic building on the High Street and I was drooling over the way it was decorated. I really loved the framed vintage fabrics and tea towels in the shop. There was also a display of five vintage bevelled mirrors hung in a row at the top of a wall. It reminded me of the way this blogger has displayed her collection down her staircase, she was clearly trend-setting the whole thing back in 2010!

We’re still deciding on colour schemes around our home so I kept my purchases to the minimum, despite the sale that was going on. A while ago I joined #PostCircle organised by Miss Beatrix. It’s lovely to receive snail mail and a great excuse to buy beautiful stationery. Therefore I treated myself to pretty pastel labels and a roll of classic stickers to decorate the envelopes I send.

A pretty handbag mirror also caught my eye, in Cath Kidstons’ dairy rose pattern. I’m hoping to make a little case for it fromĀ  a pattern in Felt Sew Good, the latest felt sewing book I have been drooling over!

These would make great stocking fillers too. Can you tell I’ve been thinking about Christmas already?
