Dressing for winter

I find this time of year really difficult to dress for. I look outside and see blue sky and think it’s Spring. But when I actually get outside it’s cold and windy. I end up either wearing too many layers or not enough! I invested in a lovely new coat at the end of last year but I needed some more layers to keep me warm.

It’s not often I’m asked to review clothes so I was very excited when I was offered a voucher to spend online at Joe Browns. Like most mums I find it really difficult to buy clothes as I always have the children with me (clothes shopping in supermarkets definitely doesn’t count!) so, of course I said yes.

After the children had gone to bed I had a good look at the Autumn/Winter 2012 collection. Some of the trends include Arabian Nights, Apache and Vintage style which is perfect for me. I chose an oversize snuggle bunny sweater and chunky snood. We have a really drafty old house and I’ve been delighted with my choices.

The website was easy to navigate, and it helpfully tells you if items are in stock. When I submitted my order the clothes arrived really, really quickly. The jumper is warm and I made sure to pick a colour I wouldn’t usually wear just to try something different. The addition of a rabbit tale (on the front!) is a little strange but the children absolutely love it!

You lucky thing, guilt free shopping for mummy! always a bonus. Thanks for linking up and I totally agree that if the sun is shining i dress too flimsy – roll on summer!
