pregnancy third trimester

I need some support

Boobs, love ’em or hate ’em but mine are definitely growing bigger throughout my pregnancy (and bigger than I remember last time round!). I have been in desperate need of a maternity bra and recently seized my opportunity. I was out shopping with a friend in Covent Garden when I remembered there was a branch of Bravissimo. I’m on their mailing list and their bras look kind of cool so we stopped by. I find it really hard to go shopping for clothes as a) my husband hates shopping and b) my husband hates shopping. This means that although we may head off to buy some clothes, a couple of minutes in he’ll be catching up with the news on his iPhone and Edward will be screaming with boredom in his pram. So, I grabbed the opportunity of having a female friend who understands these things and she watched the kids whilst I braved the fitting room.

I’m not one to indulge in sexy underwear. I’m a mum for goodness sakes and, along with my payslip, any hope of being sexy have long since disappeared.

Last pregnancy I got fitted for maternity bras only to ceremonially burn them when I no longer needed them. They weren’t underwired and barely supported me. I spent my whole pregnancy feeling frumpy and old. So this time I swore to myself I would try harder to look good and feel good whilst I was pregnant.

The bra fitter was good, just looked at me and got the right size. I was horrified to hear I needed a bigger bra but she gave me a bra which does something amazing to my figure – it gave me my figure back! I wore the bra home and won’t be throwing this one away unless I really have to!

I closely resembled a nodding dog whilst reading that (the cute kind I hope!) and I intend to burn all of my maternity bras ASAP 😀

I would find out what size I am now and buy some nice ones, but I’m 4 days overdue so it would be quite pointless!
