Hello Third Trimester! I’ve been so busy my feet are barely touching the ground lately! Last week I had a Glucose Challenge Test (which is part of the screening for gestational diabetes) and an extra scan. I’m not too sure what the scan was meant to be checking but everything seemed to be fine. I had an appointment with a consultant today (only my third appointment this pregnancy) and am booked in for another appointment at 36 weeks. I know I’m happy and healthy but I do find it strange I’m 7 months pregnant and have only had three appointments, especially as this includes the booking in appointment!
I finally splashed out on some new maternity clothes. To be honest there’s not much which has caught my eye but I bought some basics from Mothercare which should get me through the final few weeks.
Do you remember I was nominated for a Gurgle award? Well although I didn’t win an award I did win £250 vouchers for Mothercare which I was exceptionally happy about! We decided on which double buggy we wanted and it arrived yesterday. We went for a Phil and Ted’s Explorer so we could use it straightaway in the hope Edward will get used to it. It’s very different from our other ones and I look forward to seeing how we get on with it.
I received a very generous goody bag from the Gurgles which included the latest BT Baby Monitor Pacifier. I was in two minds whether to keep it for the Second Baby but my husband wanted to play with it and it never got put back in the box! It has some lovely features including a light show, 19 songs, excellent sound quality, talk back feature, adjustable nightlight and room temperature monitor. It’s a great improvement on our previous monitor, which was also BT, and Edward loves going to sleep with his very own lightshow.
