We love wooden toys

A couple of weeks ago I mentioned that although we always thought we would only buy wooden toys, the plastic mafia have crept in. Well, I think I just wasn’t looking in the right place. I’ve recently found a great online shop which sells lovely wooden toys for boys and girls: WoodenToyShop.co.uk – a world of fun with wooden toys!

The site is really easy to use and features the best wooden toy stockists, including Bigjigs, John Crane, Plan, Brio, Wheely Bugs and Quadrilla. I’ve seen plenty of toys Edward would love, including BigJigs Pirate Skittles, Melissa and Doug Farm Cube Puzzle and Le Toy Van Honeybake Breakfast Set.

You can search the website by gender, category or brand. Prices are competitive but they also try to match a price if you find it cheaper elsewhere! There’s plenty of inspiration for parents and toy lovers but there is also a handy link to the top 20 best selling toys.

One of the best things about wooden toys is that they are well made, often using environmentally friendly materials whenever possible. Wooden toys are more robust, hard wearing, wood is naturally germ-free and nearly indestructible, able to withstand the rough and tumble of playtime. It’s not surprising that parents are increasingly turning to wooden toys!

I also share the opinion that wooden toys are the best due to their safety and eco-friendliness.
