Bugaboo Donkey – what the?

Where we live you’re not someone unless you have a Bugaboo. When we found out we were expecting we booked a nursery appointment at John Lewis and discussed pram options! We both liked the Bugaboo Cameleon and were lucky enough to have friends who no longer needed theirs.

It has lasted us well and been pimped with a drinks holder and new fabric set. When we were marooned on the Isle of Wight Edward slept in the bassinet ( our midwife said this was ok) and we converted it quite early to the seat as Edward wanted to sit up.

Bugaboo Donkey – what the?

Over the last week or two it has begun to creak in all the wrong places. I don’t drive so the Bugaboo has been on the tube and buses all over London. It also frequently gets weighed down with our shopping and I guess Edward isn’t exactly light 😉 so I have begun to think about the next pram. I’ve seen several models I like from Silvercross, Quinny, Phil and Teds and Maclaren. Yesterday Bugaboo released details of their new double pram, called the donkey. Hopefully we’ll need a double in the not too distant future so perhaps we’ll try a donkey if we start saving now.

I have had some exciting news which I should be able to share with you soon!

We have a bugaboo frog (older version) which is coming up to 6 years old and everyone thinks that it is new.

We will keep using it until Geeky Son is old enough to walk everywhere. We do have a Quinny Zapp but it is forward facing – I am a strong believer that you should have your child facing you so that you can talk to them easily – so we only used it a couple of times i.e. if we went away.
