Did you know that today is the day that Prince George is being Christened at St James’ Palace’s Chapel Royal at 3pm? Unlike his birth I think the Royal Christening will be a lot more low key (thank goodness) although I’m keen to see how he’s grown and what everyone is wearing
My own children were Christened together last year. I had so much fun organising it in the Church we got married in. I must admit to setting up a new Pinterest board as I found so much inspiration for invitations, outfits, gifts and thank you cards. It ended up being a lovely occasion and although we kept the guest list quite small it was lovely to spend the day with family and friends.
Personalised online gifting company Snapajack created a one-off Christening pack for His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge and dropped it off for Her Majesty this week.
The special Royal Christening party pack included themed invitations, name badges, place tags, reminder cards, reply cards, menu cards, gift boxes, cake boxes and thank you cards – featuring Prince George’s image and customised text unique to Prince George’s big Christening day.
If you’re not particularly religious you may like to hold a naming ceremony for your child or just celebrate their birthday in style. Now, any party queen can get their own customised party pack to make their little prince or princess’s special day totally original. Just visit www.snapajack.com and let them do all the work – with the added bonus that you could include your own photographs and personalised messages throughout.
The Royal Christening Commemorative Royal Blue Party Packs, specially designed for Prince George’s big day, cost from £4.97 each or you can choose your own from a large selection of unique party packs available at www.snapajack.com. There’s something there for every ma’am.

We’ve recently been sent a couple of products from Oxo Tot to try. We love their products as they tick all our boxes: easy to use, simple to keep clean, fun colours and BPA free.
The latest product we’ve been trying is the Oxo Tot twist top water bottle. Both my children were attracted to this bottle and it’s easy to see why. It has a clever non-slip lid which when twisted reveals a soft straw that is comfortable to drink from. The non-slip carrying loop is comfortable and easy to hold too.
The lid twists closed which helps keep the straw clean and prevent spills when not in use. The large opening makes filling, cleaning and adding ice easy. Available in three zesty shades of aqua, green and raspberry, this 300ml bottle is made of BPA free materials and is dishwasher safe. The bottle has a RRP of £8.00.
If you fancy getting your hands on a Oxo Tot twist top water bottle you’re in luck as I have one to giveaway to a lucky reader of the gingerbread house. If you would like to win simply tell me how many colours the bottle is available in in a comment below.
