DC Super Hero Girls review

DC Super Hero Girls

If you thought Superhero’s were only for boys then you have obviously never watched DC Super Hero Girls. DC Super Hero Girls centers on the female Super Heroes and Super-Villains of the DC universe during their formative high school years – prior to discovering their full super power potential. DC icons such as Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Batgirl, Harley Quinn, Bumblebee, Poison Ivy, Katana and many more can now be seen in their teenage form. Each character has their own storyline that explores what teen life is like as a Super Hero, including discovering their unique abilities, nurturing their powers and mastering the fundamentals of being a hero.

DC Super Hero Girls encourages girls to discover their own super-heroic potential with new animated webisodes, TV specials, and made-for-video movies. As part of this new range we were sent two dolls from the first-ever 6″ action figure range designed specially for girls. My daughter loves her dolls so we were excited to get our hands on this new range.

The fact that they are only 6″ high means they are perfect for her little hands and have been everywhere with her! She received Supergirl and Harley Quinn and we like the fact you can move their arms and legs. They each have their own accessory too – a cape for Supergirl and mallet for Harley Quinn. The 6″ dolls are priced at £9.99 each, there is also a 12″ doll priced at £19.99. The new DC Super Hero Girls Action Figures from Mattel are launching tomorrow, 1st July.

You can discover more about the new DC Super Hero Girls at DCSuperHeroGirls.com where you will also find games, information, character profiles, plus all the webisodes from Season 1 and 2 (we have also found it on Boomerang on Sky). Play Which Super Hero Girl Is Most Like You? and look for the #DCSuperHeroGirls on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram.

I love the look of Harley Quinn! It’s fab that they’re making toys like this to show girls that they can be “heroes” too 🙂
