book review Christmas Gift guide

The Works Christmas Gift Guide

This morning I had a little time to myself so went Christmas shopping. I love Christmas shopping and was so happy to have some time to myself to pick up some gifts for everyone. We were actually away from home but I spotted The Works and knew I would be able to get some great value gifts for the whole family. I’ve put together a little post featuring The Works Christmas Gift Guide – chosen by me for my family.

I found 20 HB Pencils with Erasers for Little Sis. She’s just turned 4 and not only does she collect rubbers, she loves to scribble in a notebook too, so I knew she would love these. I also spotted The Doc Is In interactive book with sound and, as she loves Doc McStuffins, I added this to my basket.

My 5 year old son is Minecraft-mad so I had to pick up the Build, Discover, Survive: Mastering Minecraft book for him. He’s still learning to read but this book combines lots of visuals which I know he will find appealing.

I also had to buy new Annuals as my sister and I always received them at Christmas and it’s a tradition I’m keen to continue with my own children. Little Sis will receive the Peppa Pig annual and her brother the Thomas & Friends annual. Both were great value compared to other shops I’ve seen them in.

I couldn’t miss out my husband, despite the fact he’s the trickiest person in the family to buy for. He will be opening the Star Wars The Force Awakens Official 2016 calendar. He’s been counting down to the release of the latest film so I thought he would appreciate a new calendar for his home office.

I also picked up a few stocking fillers for him, including Cake Pops Christmas by Bakerella as he’s always sending me links to recipes he wants me to try at home. He will be unwrapping A Star Wars Magic Spring, Frost Shield and tub of Magic Snow too.

My husband buys and fills me a stocking but it’s usually lacking a little sparkle so I thought I would help him by picking up a little pocket guide to crochet called Hello Crochet and an adult colouring book called Creative Christmas. Hopefully he will be able to wrap these himself as I’ve done the hard work for him.

I can’t wait to watch my family unwrap these gifts on Christmas Day. I found lots of lovely gift ideas in The Works for all the family. Do you have a branch near you? Let me know if you have found any great value items.

Disclosure – I received a voucher to spend at The Works in return for this post
