gingerbread house Orla Kiely

Monday happy things

I like this period between Halloween and Bonfire Night and Christmas. I enjoy planning and have lists and lists on my phone, laptop and planner 🙂 I’ve started my Christmas Makes and have a few fun things I’d like to make, time permitting.

I can’t believe it’s already Monday afternoon but I must squeeze in my weekly Monday happy things post. This week I’ve had lots of things to make me happy, they include:

With so much going on at the moment I need to make sure I have time to relax so picked up a copy of the new Mollie Makes Colouring book in WHSmiths last week. It’s one of my favourite adult colouring books so far although I wish they would make the pages perforated so you could tear them out and use them when you’ve finished colouring them.

I couldn’t resist a pack of cute little gingerbread house candles from Tesco. I adore candles and lights at this time of year, it’s all very hygge and right up my street.

My husband treated me to one of the new Orla Kiely watches. We were in Covent Garden yesterday and I chose the Cecelia watch with yellow leather strap. It has a pale cream sunray dial which features Orla Kiely’s signature stem print, with blue hands.

Whilst I was in the Orla Kiely shop I picked up a new case for my iPhone 6 Plus. It is really hard to buy decent cases (in designs I like) but I thought this one was quite clever. It included a protective 2 part iPhone case with a moulded inner and a choice of two hardshell covers. I’m currently using the pink stem design but have the fun elephant design for another day.

I love to be organised and am ready for 2016 with the cute Miffy Family Organiser Calendar 2016, available from Flame Tree Publishing, RRP £9.99. It has 5 handy columns, so there’s plenty of room to keep the whole family organised! The calendar features 12 bright illustrations of Dick Bruna’s adorable creation, Miffy. Each month the simple, iconic images will keep you and your family smiling, as well as helping to make sure you don’t miss any important events.

That candle is really cute. That’s a real winner Tesco have there! I might have to get some
