Monday happy things

I’m a little late with my weekly Monday happy things post as we’ve spent the last 24 hours at a very special overnight stay at Whipsnade Zoo to celebrate Frubes’ partnership with the Minions movie. We had an amazing adventure, sleeping in our own private lodge next to the white rhinos. I’ll be writing a post on our experience later this week.

I took my new Hammamas towel with me which doubled as a lightweight scarf when the temperature dipped in the evening. Hammamas have a beautiful range of turkish cotton towels, perfect for taking on holiday as a beach towel, or sarong. They are super absorbent, lightweight and fast drying, and come in a range of sizes too. I chose a watermelon and white stripe which is colourful and bright and will add a splash of colour when we go to the beach later this summer.

I’m enjoying trying out different subscription boxes at the moment and the latest one to arrive was the July Lucky Dip subscription box. The colours are gorgeous with lots of muted pastels and I love the theme. My heart sank a little when I saw the crochet kit as I just cannot crochet.

This summer, Shloer are helping you to raise a toast to the good times, with stylish Say it with Shloer gift bags available for free every time you buy a bottle of Red or White Grape. Coming in a range of four vibrant colours, the gift bags are the perfect accessory to carry with you to your gatherings with friends and family.  Each bag comes with a choice of four snappy slogans, to make your bottle the ultimate dinner-party gift.

I squeezed in some sewing with a really sweet little project for my 3 year old from the latest Belle and Boo S is for Sewing book. I found an adorable pattern for a teddy bears sleeping bag and have been making it with their “Ditsy Boo” screen printed poplin.
