Our Febreze Mini Fresh Haven

Do you remember last month I told you about the P&G Capital Clean Up? I’m excited to be playing a very small part in making London a fresher, greener place by nurturing and naming a plant which might be added to one of our local Febreze Fresh Havens at Pinemartin Activity Park or the Whittington Hospital.

We were sent a Febreze Mini Fresh Haven planter kit which contained everything we needed to grow our own flowers. Well today we got our hands dirty and planted some of the seeds. Big Brother was very excited because a) he’s a boy and b) he loves getting dirty.

First of all we unpacked our kit. As you can see Little Sis was keen to get involved too!

Then we read the instructions.

We were sent quite a lot of seeds but decided to plant two varieties of sweet peas- Blue Velvet and Cupani. This is where it started to get messy as BB couldn’t understand why we were planting the seeds and covering them over with soil. He just wanted to find them! We gave him his own little pot and planted the Anemone de Caen seeds which seemed to make him happy.

Finally he was allowed to water the plants – possibly his favourite part as he loves playing with water!

We all had a lot of fun and it was nice to spend time in the garden and do something together. Fingers crossed our seeds grow into beautiful flowers, and BB will understand that we can grow things!

Mobile Febreze Fresh Havens will be popping up across London at areas which need a bit of a clean up between the 20th and 28th April at the following locations:

  • 19th April – Canary Wharf
  • 20th April – London Liverpool St Station
  • 21st April – Trafalgar Square
  • 23rd April – Euston Station
  • 24th April – Victoria Station
  • 25th April – Waterloo Station
