days out Gingerbread house finds playing pregnancy shopping toddler vintage

Gingerbread house finds

Last week was a bit crazy. It started with Edward’s first trip to the cinema, his first photo shoot for Mother & Baby magazine, a trip to the Gurgle blog awards (where I came third in my category and won a £250 Mothercare voucher) and ended with lunch with Elmo. Crazy, amazing and quite tiring for a toddler and a mummy with a big bump. But somehow I managed to squeeze in a trip to the shops.

Oops, I couldn’t help myself but I came home with two more vintage jigsaws at the weekend. I just couldn’t resist their round tins, lovely pictures of vintage-ness and smells (there’s something about old toys!).  Edward and I have finished both puzzles and fortunately they were complete. Not bad entertainment for 50p each.

I’m definitely not allowed to get them framed (no more room on Edward’s walls) but I think they look quite good just in their tins alongside some other thrifted finds. How I love the simple things in life.

Beautiful! I haven’t seen any puzzles in tins before, what a lovely way to store them.

Puzzle tins are so clever, the cardboard boxes they usually come in are so easily wrecked. Great finds! x

Those tins are cute and a great way to keep the pieces all together and still look pretty.

Wow! What a week – congratulations on the award. Those tins are great. Small one is jigsaw obsessed at the moment so I will keep an eye out… I’ve never spotted any before but sometimes you see them everywhere once you know they exist!

You have had a very full week! Congratulations on doing so well. And finding time to blog about your finds.
Since you are not framing them you can do them again in a few months and it will seem new again.
